Ouh Oh...

I SUCK at saving money.

Seriously.
Am an EPIC failure.

I naively thought that starting a business would help with my money woes.
Hah!
I should've opted selling things that I absolutely hate because surrounding myself with such pretty things makes me want to buy them for myself!

And my supplier HAD to tempt me with a year end sale!
Grrr!!!
But they had the IT Enviro-Health-safe brand, ZOYA for sale..
And I can NEVER find it in M'sia for the price they're offering (=.=)"

Please focus on the 'Toxin free' part.
NOT the moms part.
I ain't Preggers!

I bought 3.
That's 3 MORE to my already ordered pile of nail polishes I bought together with my so called 'clients'.

It needs repeating: EPIC FAILURE!!!
*Super flying kick muka sendiri!*

Needless to say, the number of clients I get does not even cover the cost of things I buy.
ARRRGH!

Will NOT be surprised if one day my loved ones decide to organize an intervention for me.
The sorry man who marries me better have an obese pocket!
Meh.

I am still stuck with my money woes.
And with Jessup, I can't even work to earn the money.
Which leaves me the only one option; to WIN Jessup and stash away some of the spending money we'll get.
(Yeah RIGHT! I'll be in freakin' DC! I'll more likely arrive with an empty suitcase and come back with TWO!!!)
Fuck me.

Nailed it!

In between preparations for Jessup and coping without a maid at home, I (somehow) managed to start a business.
Adoih.
This is not multi-tasking, this is craziness.

The funny part is, I'm selling nail polish.
Which is pretty much the last thing I'd expect myself to sell.
(though I absolutely adore nail polishes.)
It's a small project.
And it's seasonal (due to the shipping schedules).
I don't even have an official page for it.
No special contact number or E-mail.
So it's a very personal service.
My personal reputation is on the line.

I better not screw up.
*Gulp!*

Am hoping like mad that I'll manage to pull it off without actually LOSING money.
I think I'm on the road of EPIC failure because I only managed to narrow it down to 15 bottles for myself.
Meh.
The only one winning here in my supplier!
*Flying kick muka sendiri*
(I've been flying kicking myself way to frequently lately. This is bad!)

Oh.
Btw, If any of you readers are interested, do contact me :)
(Drop me a msg on the chatbox or e-mail me at arinalum@gmail.com)
O.P.I goes for RM 32 & China Glaze goes for RM25.
But I hope you personally know me coz I don't prefer post services.
(As I said, this is just a pet project)
Or if not, then you could to opt for COD around Shah Alam & Subang.
(More free advertising! Haha. *Muka tebal*)

Hate being MIA

There's something wrong with the internet at home.
Called TM.
They fixed it the next day.
But the monkey (the lil brother) did SOMETHING- I have no idea what..
And the line is down- Again.
Fuck.

So no internet for me.
Unless I drag my ass to the Uni.
Like I'm doing now.
*Sigh*
Which also means that I'll have to study.

Sometimes moots are just a pain the ass.
(Albeit an addicting pain the ass.)
Heh.

Have some contacts in the US who wants to bring home O.P.I and China Glaze nail polishes.
The O.P.I's goes as low as RM 32 per bottle (It retails at RM 50 in M'sia. Ceh!).
And China Glaze goes as low as RM 23 per bottle (It's not even in stores in M'sia. But they got rave reviews from the international community).
I bought a ton for myself.
It's such a deal.
Heh.

All the pretty coulours I'll have!

So much for trying to save up..
*flying kick muka sendiri*
I wonder if I should post this up for my friends as well..
Thoughts?

2. Jalan-jalan di Singapura

As mentioned, S'pore is CROWDED.
But it also makes a great place for me to do what I love best- people watch!

And I have to admit, (though I do not have any pictures) Singaporeans can dress up!
Or issit just because I'm in the city?
Hmmm.. Anyways, it makes me realise that general Malaysians don't put in even nearly the same effort to look good like these people.
I guess this just means that we're just plain lazy to do so coz we all know that Malaysian have killer fashion sense.
Heh.

Oh, and I don't wanna be left out!
I absolutely adore this dual-tone bubble dress from Quirky Brown Cow!
*Grins*

I would've paired this up with my new black leather heels, but my mission was to walk- No sane girl is gonna walk all day in sky high heels in the humid S'pore weather!
So I had to pair it up with the next best thing, my new brown loafers~
At least it matches my LV tote :)

I love dressing up everyday and not looking out of place doing it!
Plus, all-in-all, the whole look didn't even cost me more then RM 100.
1. Dress from Quirky Brown Cow- RM15
2. Belt from Sunway- RM 10
3. Shoes from U.R.S. & inc- S$ 25 (Ard RM60)
total: ++ RM 85
(Of course, excluding my LV tote, Tag Watch & Asprey ring- but all of that can easily be replaced with any other bag/watch/ring and you'll still look slamming!)

I fell in love in LV's store today..

I've always loved edgy boots.
Twas the first thing I saw the whole day that I absolutely LUSTED over.
I WANT IT!
(HINT!!! You know who you are.)
Haha.

But it was S$ 2,000 a pair!
*Sobs*

So I dragged my sorry ass outta there and went to Charles and Keith instead.
BIG mistake!
Because I found these;

But it's S$ 150!
Might as well get the pair back in Malaysia :(
Oh. I'm broke and I'm planing to buy a RM 400 pair of heels..
*Flying kick muka sendiri*

-

1. The walk from my hotel to Bugis Junction is 10 mins.
I spent 30 mins to get there.
I was just there the other day and yet, I got lost today.
My sense of direction sucks.
(But then, I already knew that. Heh.)

2. I know S'pore is small but this is ridiculous!
It's so crowded here.
And I'm not referring to Bugis Street itself.
The whole area was crawling with shoppers- and it's a weekday!
*Pening*

3. Bugis Street reminds me of Petaling Street.
And similarly, you have to really hunt for the best bargains.
And oh, the fantastic bargains I found :)
Tee-hee~

It's amazing how good the materials are here!
Better then I've ever seen in places like these in M'sia anyways..
And Some of the things here are way cheaper too.

4. The food here is crazy expensive!
One would think that food here would be only slightly more expensive as compared to M'sia since we're neighbouring countries after all..
But I guess the import/export takes a toll on the prices.
kesian.
*Sings NegaraKu*
I LOVE Malaysia~
I love our food!

5. 3 hours in the gym and now planing on a long soak in the tub.
Ahh... Perfect!
I wish everyday is like this..
(PS: my tummy STILL wont go away. sheesh.)

6. Daddy is gonna go berserk when he sees the bills.
Heh.
Oh well.. It is an expensive city after all...

Will be going to National University of Singapore (NUS) tomorrow.
Hmm.. The winners of Maritime.
Maybe I'll Jampi the place so that we'll win next year.
Heh.
kidding.
Or am I??
*Evil grin*

Oh, to be royal~

Halloween is kicking in and all things weird are starting to appeal to me.
And it's effecting my fashion sense too!
Heh.

True to the festive spirit, Soak Republic came up with the perfect chic Halloween accessory- The Facinators!

Just in case you don't know what they are, here's Cheryl Cole rocking one out;

I absolutely adore the over-the-top dramatic effect it has on a look!
But it'll look super weird if I started walking around in one without an event fit for it..
Oh, I wish I could go get one and wear them at this year's Halloween parties.
(Damn you final exams!)

The ones from Soak Republic are delish!

I WANT.
*Sobs*

Oh well, MAYBE next year I'll get a chance to put one on..
Surely I'll be able to wear one on my big day;

But that is not anywhere in the near future, so friends of mine, please start getting married!
Heh.
Then maybe I can wear one as a bridesmaid :D

This is too cute!
I'm so in!
Tee-hee..

I have to start studying Land law.
This never ends does it??

I Love Bazaar (Early Oct)

Even with a ton of things to do, I still managed to squeeze in some time to go to this shindig;

I love bazaar!

As always, the place never disappoints!
And I got EXTRA lucky that day coz I found these;

Aaahhh! Finally!!!
I've been searching high and low for a rockin' pair of faded ripped (but not too ripped- I still wanna be able to wear em' to class) pair of jeans.
They were just lying there waiting for me..
Plus, I even snagged my fav straight jean cut!
(They're inspired by Guess' jeans' cut)
Tee-hee~

And RM65 for a pair of beautiful (and seemingly impossible to find) ripped jeans is a steal!

I've been really into accessories lately.
I do not know why though.. Heh.
Anyway, I absolutely LOVED this booth by Rose's Homemade;

Ohhh! Look at all those pretty necklaces!
Too tempting!

I ALWAYS buy necklaces with a slightly weighty pendant.
The weight prevents the pendant from flipping all over the place when you walk, so you dont have fix it's position every 5 mins.
(This especially helps if you have on only one-sided detail pendants.)

Plus, with weight, comes bulk- and more ofthen then not, durability too.
I HATE flimsy accessories >:/
But these seem to be just about the right weight..
And for RM 20 a pop, how could I resist??

Even managed to go to Kutu Market 2 after my 3rd language assignments.
When it comes to resisting retail therapy, I'm a major failure.
Cis.

Meh

Dragging my broke ass around town ain't fun.
I cant go anywhere and it's a dammed good thing that the fasting month is coming soon..
Coz I tend to spend too much on food I cant even finish.
The dangers of shopping on a empty stomach indeed. (=.=)"
No money = No over-spending + no wasting food!
Heh.

But how I wish I had enough to splurge~
I already have my eyes on a few lovely pieces~ Tee-hee..

I do not care what others say.
One can never have too many shoes.
Plus, I need sandals.
Wearing closed-toed shoes 24/7 cant be good for my feet.

I want! *Drools*
I've never had a jumpsuit.
So I want one.
Just because. heh.

Pics via The Kooky Thing.

Oh, and I need a new wallet.
Hmm.. maybe I should add that to the must buy list too.
*sigh* If only~

p/s: Saya nak puasa penuh macam dulu!!!
(Malas nak ganti puasa lagi yo!)

Super Grow!

Sunday's mooting training was cut short.
Hence, no night session.
Though I'm not supposed to say this.. Oh, what the heck.. YAY!!!

Am free for the night!
What better way to spend it then actually going to the bazaar I missed yesterday? *Grins*

As always, finding a steal there was not hard.
In an hour, I managed to find, try and buy 4 dresses and 2 pairs of heels.
(Had to be quick, dinner with the parental unit later~)

All of the dresses were vintage. *LOVE!*
I wonder why vintage isn't as well received as other styles?
If it were, it would've been SO much easier for me to wear my frocks on campus :(
Oh well..

And I managed to find a booth which sells shoes in my size! Hurrah!
And the sisters manning the booths were so nice to boot!
Plus, these weren't worn pre-loved heels.
(I'd have a problem if they were worn.. Heh.)

I have always wanted a pair of bright yellow heels.
The fact that they're platforms helps boost the 'Wow' factor too.
(I find it less excruciating to walk in platforms then normal sky high heels..)
And in all honesty, these are quite comfortable!
I'll be OK as long as I don't have to run in them :s
And For only RM 45 (I KNOW delicious heels retail at around RM 60-200 in M'sia) I happily grabbed them!

These were too cute to pass up :)
Plus, it's an investment.
It's formal.
I can actually wear these to class, moots, court, etc.
And it's only RM45- and I also know that these retailed at around RM 110. (Please don't ask me how I know all the prices for these heels..)
Yes, I've managed to convince myself that I NEED this pair.. Meh.

Apparently, the owner LOVES sky high heels but her boyfriend forbade her form wearing them..
So I guess she just gets kicks from buying them.
Poor girl!

I always known that I'm fond of shoes.
But I think the more types of heels I can carry off, the more serious my NEED for shoes are.
O.O
I can't even pass a fucking shoe retailer without craning my neck to see if there's any cute ones on display!
Oh god, I hope that this craziness slows down when I get too old to rock candy coloured sky high heels. (At least there's less types of shoes I can go gaga over..)
Or maybe it'll be crazier since I'll most likely have more cash to spend on them..
Help me.

E Review

"Youth 10 was last week!"
*Sigh*
Yes, I know. But due to my very busy schedule *cough* moots *cough* I haven't the time nor the mood for a full fledged review.
Malas yo.
So since 1 picture = 1 000 words, I loaded a bunch of pics instead :)

I have to admit, aside from the horrendous parking fees (I had to pay RM 11 for parking alone! Damn!) and hectic push-shove atmosphere (There were SO many people!), the whole event was (still) fun.
Though I wont be driving to the event anymore (I actually got lost- AGAIN), I'll definitely be there next year!
(I'll most likely drag some poor soul to drive me around and carry my shopping bags and freebies~)
This shall be a heads up to the boyfriend.
Be ready darling~
Heh.

Went to the event with the bestie this year. (and as promised, next year too!)
-Picture courtesy of Heri, our personal assistant for the day (aka photographer and bag carrier)-

And yes, people are actually running around! (note girl in blue top)
Got so sore from all the pushing and shoving :s

We also got (a lil) overboard with cam whoring~
meh.
Yes, we were not afraid to make total fools out of ourselves..

Went all the way back home to Subang for dinner -as we couldn't possibly afford to eat at the event.
Super duper expensive!
Besides, after all that shopping, I can barely pay for the tolls to get home.
(=.=)"

Speaking of shopping, look what I found!
And at only RM 15 a pop!
Though I still thing it's kinda pricey.. But I absolutely LOVE the material!
The same type used for my (now all time fav) Oasis T-shirt!
Perfect for the abnormally HOT weather we're having~

And it fits perfectly!
Thank god.. I was worried that my huge tummy want fit in the baby tee. *Grins*

Also found this gorgeous jacket in the bargain bin.
Twas the LAST piece and the seller just wanted t get rid of it.
After working my bargaining magic, I finally got this piece for RM 5. (O.O)!

My Hp's camera is so low tech :(
It cant get the lighting right. Cis~
Here's a pic of the jacket in better lighting;

I LOVE this one!!!
One of my best steals to date!
Am so proud of myself! Heh.

I even managed to get a blazer for my trip to Sydney!
Again, it's the only piece left and though the buttons are somewhat faulty- no matter! Even I can fix that!- it fits me perfectly!
And it was selling at RM10!!! (Not original price stated by seller. HAHA)
(Now I just need to remember where the heck did I put my sewing kit..)

This cutie was tucked away deep in lots of other no-so-cute garments..
I have to admit, the whole rack was basically filled with tops that I will NEVER EVER wear, but I guess the digging paid off..
(Though I think that the seller put this cute dress on the wrong rack- but still! the sigh DID say RM5, so RM5 it is!)
Haha.. Poor seller though.. She was trying so hard to mark-up the price..

The accessories were very impressive this time around :)
Thank god I'm such a damned frugal-mugal girl..
If I weren't so mindful of the money I spend, I would've splurged SO much on all the pretty shiny things :P

I couldn't help myself!
For some odd reason, I'm REALLY into the elastic headband thingamajig.
I cant resist them! (and for only RM 8, I wont beat myself over it~)
Heh.

Another thing I couldn't resist- and (to be honest) did not need were these;

Since I've figured out HOW to actually use them, I totally fell in love with them!
These were the most natural looking ones I could get.
Am even tempted to use it on daily basis.
*smack hand on forehead*
That will NOT happen. Heh.
But I'm very sure I'll find an occasion to rock these lovely lashies!

Script for my moots are DONE!
The budget for our trip is APPROVED!
Am so fucking happy!!!

E Review

Lah' Lah' Land's "Junk yard lah- part2" was quite fun.
Though I had a better time during the 1st installment, this was still a darn good attempt :)
I think the only down side of the event was that a lot of the stuff there were actually left-overs from the 1st "Junk yard lah".

I DID find some to-die-for pieces but due to my monetary constraints, I MUST buy something that is practical for everyday wear. (Sheesh. THAT'S no fun!)
Some of the things that I absolutely LOVED (or not so-loved) were;

This wide shouldered chequered dress is so pretty!
I SO want it!
I even tried it on and it's gorgeous!
The wide shoulder cutting shows off what I love most about my body~
It's the most elegant dress I've ever worn.
It's length is just right over my knees.. Just the right length!
BUT!!!
Too short to wear on campus and too long to go to parties in :(
Oh sure, I can totally imagine myself rocking this dress in some formal shindig or even a posh dinner date, but lets be real people.. When the hell am I going to go to either of those?? (I'm more of a mamak gal anyways)
Hence definitely a no-no on practicality. *Sigh*

Then I set my eyes on these beautiful necklaces..
And it's only RM25! I actually saw this exact same design (and quality) in a shop once and it retailed up to RM80!
(O.O)!!
I would've bought it right away if I wans't on this stupid practicallity rule >:(
That would've looked damned good.
(The silver one is my fav! Held on to that for at least 10 mins before putting it back. Heh)

This sunny yellow pair of heels got my attention from the get-go!
I'm so into the colour this season (for some odd reason.. I'm normally not a 'bright colour' person.)
I flipped the heels over and it was priced at RM35!
And it was in perfect condition!
I'm freakin serious, it looks like the owner did even walk 50 steps in those shoes!
So I try them on.. (This is the FIRST ever pre-loved pair of heels in my size!)
And automatically knew why the owner didn't walk in them.
Even I didn't want to walk in them- Even if they fucking paid me!
The heels were fairly high but that's ok, in my book, the higher the better.
But the second rule is that you must be able to actually WALK in them!
The heels bunch up your toes in so tightly..
No space for toes + Added pressure from the height of the heel itself = TORTURE.
That's such a shame! The heels were beautiful!
To be fair, you could walk in those shoes.
But only if you chop your toes off first. Heh.

Am keeping tabs on what I spend.
Need to save money for the Sydney trip!
MUST!

Big grins all around!

Looks like the end of the month of May will be a blast!
With events going on left, right and center, we'll all be spoilt for choice!

The updates are;

1. LAH' LAH' LAND'S "JUNKYARD LAH PART 2"

Yes people, the vintage on/off little junkyard sale is back on! (Yay!!)
Though it's called 'junkyard', DO NOT BE FOOLED.
This event may be small, but their stuff are far from 'junk'! *Wink2*
This one is a MUST go. Especially if you're a vintage lover.

The event will be held in SS15 Subang.
If you're interested, go to their blogspot to find a map or simply head to Google maps!

I will definitely be there!
(since the first installment was damned good!)

The fist time round, I found this pretty lil number;

I (literally) had to snatch it away from another person. Heh.
We zoned in on the same garment at the same time- thank god I was closer to the rack :)
Fell totally in love with the print! The details are exquisite!
Plus, the dress clings perfectly to my body.*Love!*
And it only costs RM 20! *Jaw drops!*

Have always wanted an outrageous bag (one that's not in full black would be nice)
So when I saw this black and gold piece, I couldn't resist~
(I don't care if the colour combo was last season, to me, they're all the rage!)
Normally, I wouldn't go for pouch bags but I loved the chains, animal print interior and the safety zipper add on!
And it was surprisingly very sturdy!
The girl selling the bag discounted it from the original price or RM65 to RM 25.
And I didn't think twice about getting it!

The second installation (hopefully) wouldn't disappoint.

2. YOUTH 10

This event has everything under one roof!
From music, fashion, sports to conferences.. There's something for everybody.
Will try my darnest to go!

I absolutely love this!

Achey-breaky body

With MLS as my new BFF and the yogalates trainings, I am now officially mentally and physically drained.

And they say yogalates was supposed to be easy peasey and relaxing??

I ache.
My arms ache.
My legs ache.
My tummy.. Don't even get me stated with my tummy.
I sneeze and I flinch. Laughing can now cause serious stabs of pain. Bloody hell :(
And my head is pounding like some wannabe rocker is wreaking havoc in my head.
(I suspect it's the MLS info bouncing around in my head.)

But even with all that's going on, I still made time for I love Bazaar.
Heh. Superwoman indeed.
When it comes down to it, nothing relaxes me more than a good session of retail therapy :)

The whole event was relatively small. But there were definitely good finds there..

To be honest, I've been going gaga trying to find the perfect pocket skirt. (I've been searching for 2 whole months!) Can you believe that retail outlets do not sell these?? *pfft* I got this perfect little thing at only RM20. Which amazed me coz it's made of really good jean material. Plus, It's in my size! Whee~

Okay, confession time. Ever since fashion week came up with the whole cracked flag print on the runway, I've been searching high and low for a similar style (that I could actually afford). No luck. Not only is it hard to find a dress like this, it can get pretty pricey too -think of a price range between RM90-200. Yikes!

But I found this darling wedged between layers and layers of not-so-pretty garments. (I almost jumped up and down with glee. Seriously.) And the lady even gave me another discount! Can you believe this dress sold at RM28? *Grins*
AND it has embedded pockets! I like!

This Rapunzel print top was too good to pass up. I absolutely LOVE the print effect and the artsy twist. This is definitely more my style. Fairy tales are good and all, but lets face it, I cannot carry off the candy-sweet look. Anyway, I snatched this up coz it only cost me RM8!

The next installation will be on next weekend (1st & 2nd May, Subang Parade).
I will definitely be there! *Grins*

Okay! Enough!
Now go and study you lazy bum!
MLS is waiting for you!!!
*Siiiigh!*
