OUT!

I am not myself lately.
I know I'm a klutz.. And I forget things..
But now, I can't even remember what day it is (=.=)"

Today, I thought my class was at Menara.
It wasn't.
It's on Thursday. Today's Wednesday you twit.
*Sigh*
When I finally JOGGED back to Cempaka- to my supposed class.
Twas empty.
Only THEN did I remember that the lecturer mentioned that there's NO CLASS today.
*Bash head on wall*

Oh well, at least now I've done my day's worth of jogging.
Meh.

Jessup is this weekend!
Hurry up!
I want this over and done with so that I can enjoy my *tong-tong-chang* CNY hols!

P/S: Funny how I'm more impatient than nervous.
Hmmm... But then again, the nervousness will kick in soon enough..

Waiting

I have one class today. One!
Woke up late and left the house in a hurry. Went through the effing tol to cut the jam and spent a good 20 mins trying to find a parking space. Then ran (in high heels) all the way to the top floor of Cempaka 1- just to find that the lecturer is not coming.
Meh.
I should've stayed in and slept.
And yes, my biological clock is still a complete mess.

Now here I am in the kamar hakim.
Waiting for Iceman & Mr tupai to go for our daily training for Jessup.
And yes, I'd rather wait for them then enter the lion's den all by myself.
Safety in numbers perhaps?

And though we've been training everyday, I still haven't gotten the hang of mooting in a court setting.
And the fact that I know almost zilch about IL and IHL does not help matters.
I'm starting to feel like I don't deserve this.
Shall try to talk Izzat into taking my place.
But I have a sinking feeling that it wouldn't work.
I'm screwed. T.T

To debut or not?

I am on track!

Wohoo!!!
I'm finally done with the final touches of the blogshop.
The banners, terms & conditions and packaging strategy.. Woah! This is no joke.
It's hard work!
I just hope I can pull it off alone :/

Anyways, presenting my new blogshop! (or at least it's banner..)

The official banner, designed by moi!
*Heh*
I'm starting out with accessories.
And a few other odd (but fabulous) items here and there..
The problem is, I have the few odd items on hand.
But not the accessories.
Haha!
I guess I have to wait a lil longer for them to arrive :)

The question is, do I start now?
Or should I wait???

The boyfriend is back home.
I shall miss u!
Get back quick please!

P/S: The bestie has already planned a bunch of things to do for the new year's countdown.
And I may not be there.
Instead, I'll be in the moot court.
Training for Jessup.
Yippe.
*Note the sarcasm*

Animated!

Have been awfully busy writing the Jessup memorials.
good news, first draft done.
Bad news, it's ONLY the first draft.
Lots and LOTS more to research on :'(
AND Mama Shai has left us to go to fabulous Paris.
Great.

But before she left, we all thought that it's best if we let out some steam..
So off to Seoul Garden to pig out!
I LOVE the food there!
All the lamb, beef, chicken, fish and squid I can eat!
And playing masak-masak with all your fav people is so much fun!
(Due to the horrific table manners displayed during 'the pig out' session, no pictures were taken.)

Just to put off going back to the moot court, we opted to go watch a movie.
Heh.

We chose Disney's Rapunzel, Tangled simply because:
1) It required the least brain power to follow the story line.
2) I heard that it's a laugh. After days trapped in the Kamar Hakim, laughter needed.
3) It's Disney for god's sake! I have not missed one yet! XD

And I have to say, apart from the singing- it was darn good.
(If it's supposed to be a goddamn musical, then be one. If it's not, do away with the singing- and yes, I'm not a fan of HSM or Glee either.)

The whole movie was saved by the silent characters, the chameleon, Pascal and the horse/dog??, Maximus.

Oh, and we have our very own Rapunzel cast too!
It's so eerily similar!

1)Obviously, Shai is Rapunzel. (Duhh! Even their out fits match!)
She's the princess of the team. Born into a noble family but is down to earth & kind.

2)Not so obviously, Izzat is Flynn.
Ehh.. just because Shai is generous enough to make him the hero by simply being with him. (Just like Flynn!) Sorry dude. Heh.

3) Khairil is Maximus.
The side-kick of Flynn (or in our case, Izzat) but also would rather listen to Rapunzel (in our case, Shai). See how similar this is???

4) Zharif is Pascal!
My fav character! Haha. Z is really the best fit.
Loyal, helpful and most importantly, cool as ice.

5) I'm obviously the evil one. Meh.
But I have to admit, I'm as every bit as dramatic as the old hag.
(The only difference is, I'm just better looking. Ha!)
Plus, if you knew of a magical being that is the equivalent of the fountain of youth, wouldn't you keep it??
I would!
And jangan nak cover2, I know you would too..

I want a pet just like Pascal!
That would be so cool.
I want it SO badly!

The OneS

I cannot sleep.
Not even after a 4km jog in the middle of the night.
Now my mind is wandering off..
And always ALWAYS going back to moots, my moots family and how badly I want to win Jessup.

The weird thing is, I don't care about how awesome being national champions will look on my CV.
Nor do I care if I get the bragging rights of being the best at something.
It's not even about sacrificing my holidays -since god knows when..

I just wanna win to make sure that our last hurrah counts.
The last moots that we'll ever be in as a team.
Hell, if we're going out, we'll go out with a bang.
And I will miss you guys dearly when you retire.
Really.

Though it may be a tad premature for me to say this;
But I do not think that they'll ever be another team like ours.
At least not for me.
*I am convinced that we took the whole "team spirit" threshold a lil too far*
Heh.

And I do appreciate you guys.
Though I may not show it well with my constant late-ness & malas-ness.

More importantly, I do take our promises to heart.
Sure, we'll have to stop mooting at one point, but I don't think I'll ever have to hip-hip with you guys.
I do believe that we'll still be a team way after our mooting days are gone..

So Jessupers out there, you'd better get your asses covered coz we're out to get ya!

PS:

I love you guys.
I really do.
But just because you're retiring, does NOT mean you're off the hook!
Drop by when you sense we're struggling with future moots.
Seriously.
You guys promised..

PPS:

Z, you are NOT allowed to leave me alone with moots.
Under ANY circumstances!
If you quit, I quit.
That's final.
*Puts foot down*
Literally.
I may not survive without you.
Heh.

PPPS:
The boyfriend wont be here on his B'day after all.
Well, I know he wants to be here and that's what counts.
I understand that you have obligations.
I will be here.
Waiting for you to come home.

A learning experience

Through moots, I learnt 1 new thing, the fine print really do contain some important shit.
Oh yeah, and also the fact that I'm NOT a morning person and will NEVER be one.

Through my new business, I learnt 3 things;

1) Who you know is REALLY important.
And all you need to do is to be nice, and people will bend backwards to help you.
Heh. Never knew that really works.
So life lesson learnt.
And thank you to Pieces of key for helping me advertise my new venture :)
I owe you one.

2) Never simply assume things will go well.
I seriously thought that as a UITM student who can NEVER find cool things easily on campus, this venture would get huge support.
I personally would jump at the chance to get things like discounted apparel/shoes/cosmetics that would be delivered personally to me.
But I learnt that not everybody would react the same way.

3) I am not a patient girl.
Meh.
It's been 3 days since I've started the business and I've sold around 15 confirmed bottles.
And I'm so bloody impatient with getting the 50 bottle cap.
I'm so scared that 15 is all I'll get.
I had to be reminded by a seasoned seller that 15 bottles in 3 days is a feat.
(=.=)"

The boyfriend's birthday is coming soon.
And I have no idea what to get him.
Plus, I'm broke.

I am such a horrible girlfriend.

-

1. The walk from my hotel to Bugis Junction is 10 mins.
I spent 30 mins to get there.
I was just there the other day and yet, I got lost today.
My sense of direction sucks.
(But then, I already knew that. Heh.)

2. I know S'pore is small but this is ridiculous!
It's so crowded here.
And I'm not referring to Bugis Street itself.
The whole area was crawling with shoppers- and it's a weekday!
*Pening*

3. Bugis Street reminds me of Petaling Street.
And similarly, you have to really hunt for the best bargains.
And oh, the fantastic bargains I found :)
Tee-hee~

It's amazing how good the materials are here!
Better then I've ever seen in places like these in M'sia anyways..
And Some of the things here are way cheaper too.

4. The food here is crazy expensive!
One would think that food here would be only slightly more expensive as compared to M'sia since we're neighbouring countries after all..
But I guess the import/export takes a toll on the prices.
kesian.
*Sings NegaraKu*
I LOVE Malaysia~
I love our food!

5. 3 hours in the gym and now planing on a long soak in the tub.
Ahh... Perfect!
I wish everyday is like this..
(PS: my tummy STILL wont go away. sheesh.)

6. Daddy is gonna go berserk when he sees the bills.
Heh.
Oh well.. It is an expensive city after all...

Will be going to National University of Singapore (NUS) tomorrow.
Hmm.. The winners of Maritime.
Maybe I'll Jampi the place so that we'll win next year.
Heh.
kidding.
Or am I??
*Evil grin*

Merdeka 2010

Is it just me or is 'the spirit of merdeka' is slowly ebbing away?
One day before merdeka and I can't even see ONE Jalur Gemilang along the highways- let alone on buildings..
No gay songs on air.
No wonderful yet overly cheesy malay movies about our independence day.
This is no fun :/

But I did have great fun with the boyfriend instead.
Yup, it's official.
We're fucking crazy.
Thank god we didn't get busted. (tee-hee..)
Wonder what shenanigans we'll get into next year.. (o.O)"

p/s: Congrats to the interpart winners!
A special holla to the pre-law kiddies who put themselves out there and to my bestie-moe for bagging the title of best mooter.
I cant think of anyone better to take over *ahem* my spot.
Hahaha!
(Perasan yo!)

I'm supposed to start on my huge-ass-pile of overdue work.
Not to mention my (unexpected) moots next month.
*sigh*
As always, I'm on-line, doing everything BUT my work.
*Flying kick muka sendiri*

Interpart 2010

SO TIRED!
Even though I ran away from the event early (tee-hee), I'm still dead tired.
I cannot imagine what the rest are feeling like :/

p/s: Congratulations to the teams who broke to the semis!

I know I should be more involved with the event.
It WAS where I started my mooting Career after all..
Heh.
But the parental unit is getting restless.
And them restless = me on the grill about what I do.
*Sigh*

Plus, they're starting to doubt my ability to score in my studies.
Normally, I'd brush their remarks aside but that was when I KNOW I can score.
Regardless what they say.
Now, not so much.
Twas like a smack in the face when I realised that we only have 2 months to the finals.
What the hell have we been studying in class anyways??!
*Gulp!* (o.0)"

Oh, and QUT is visiting UiTM and they want a 'friendly' moot match.
Right before finals.
Thanks.
Like I don't have anything better to do then fret about these penyibuks!
Sheesh.

LawAsia pt2 (finale)

LawAsia was a doozy.
(Twas also VERY tiring..)

It was a challenge from the start.
ie; we had to get up SUPER early.
When we arrived the place was deserted (=.=)"
Talk about having the 'spirit of lawasia'. Heh.

Our first round was against HELP.
Though I didn't moot in that round, by the end of the moots, I developed a bangin' headache. Great.
I bet it was due to my lack of sleep.
I wasn't designed to sleep for only 3 hours a day..

But with help of some pain killers (credit due to Mama Shai!), I managed to get to the second round against KDU.
So, with a head feeling like it's about to explode, I mooted.

2 rounds down!
Twas the end of the general rounds..
Though the other UiTM teams didn't make it to the finals, (FYI, I'm still baffled about that! They are WAY better than I am!) we thank our lucky stars that all our hard work was rewarded.
My first moots where I (finally!) qualified to the finals!

The morning moots was against Taylor's.
(again, I didn't moot in that one)
But I did moot for the next round!
And THAT's the round I was eyeing.. Tee-hee.
Twas a chance to moot in front of the Chief Justice and The President of the Bar Council!
I COULD NOT PASS THAT UP!

Though it wasn't an easy moot, and we lost to IIU, Twas worth it.
I finally got to the finals, and it hasn't even been a full year since I started mooting..
That's good enough.
For now.

Even with all the blood, sweat and tears, I would've done it all over again..
Especially if my moot family is with me.
I love you guys to bits!
(Public declaration ni!) Tee-hee.

Dinner with you guys is the best!
(though dinner at Citrus was probably a bad idea.. Service at a snail's pace!)

(Editor's note: Sir was NOT happy when he realised that the kiddies attacked his banana split and left only melted scraps of ice-cream for him. Haha. Nice move Ratu Disco!)

Anyways, thank you to Sir Irwin, Miss Ummi and Madam Mas for helping us to be better future lawyers/Judges/whatever-we-may-be-later..
We owe you guys.
Big Time.

To the UiTM LawAsia team, I truly love you guys.
I'll carry the memories always.
(Haha! Drama!)

LawAsia!!!

OMG! We're finally here!
(After weeks of pure torture. Heh.)

I am praying (HARD!) that all the (rushed)research and long nights of training pays off..
Or else!

Though the trip to KLRCA didn't kick off as smoothly as we would like- We missed the opening ceremony (=.=)"
But in our defense, it wasn't us, twas the bus drivers..
The first bus broke down.
The second bus was not 'fit' for the journey to KL.
And I honestly think the bus driver who finally(!) drove us to KL was not very happy doing the job. Adoi.

Oh well, at least we made it.
Albeit 3 hours later..
In one piece I might add!
(And this point is very important as the driver had no problem reflecting his mood in his driving. Heh.)

We spent 10 mins in KLRCA- then off to our hotel~
(which we took almost 2 hours to get to! Sheesh.)

But Citrus Hotel isn't that bad..

I like the fun Orange decor. Hihi.
And there's a bath tub! Whee~
I foresee that that shall be an excellent way for me to relax after a long day of moots. tee-hee.

Things are looking up :)
We had patched things up.
And he seems to truly understand what I need at the moment.
When it's good, it's euphoric (Hihi)
Hope this lasts *crosses fingers*

STRESS!!!

NOTHING is going my way.
I'm swamped with work, stressed with my obvious lack of social life and definitely pissed with everything in the universe (including moi).

Heck, I don't even think it's karma anymore.
Even I don't deserve this kind of shit.
I'm now totally convinced that the universe hates my guts..

***
I was diagnosed with fatigue. (Well done captain obvious! Sheesh.)
I'm supposed to get some rest.
3 days off.
But how the hell am I supposed to do that with so many other things to do??
Am eating my meds though.. I hope that's enough.

***
Announcement to all my lovely mooters;
This will be my LAST time mooting while the semester is on.
I admit it, I'm a fucking wimp for not being able to balance this, but better a happy wimp then a bitter superwoman.
All things aside, I still adore you guys.
(Oh, and please help break the news to Sir. I need back up. Tee-hee.)

***

When the boyfriend told me to stop making him wait for me only to and up empty handed, I was wounded.

Yes, I do realise that I was the one who asked him out to lunch.
Can you even blame me?
I haven't spent quality time with him in ages!
I really did try to make it, but I couldn't.
I had work to do.
And I had to make some arrangements for OUR anniversary.
I thought I could attempt in making a grand gesture.
OBVIOUSLY that was a total flop.
*Sigh*

I'm sorry I made you wait.
(Including all the other times I put you aside for my work.)
It was my fault.
If only you knew how bad and frustrated I felt..

***
One of the reasons why I couldn't make it was because my lappy got sick. AGAIN.
And I just spent RM70 for anti-virus.
Now I'll have to pay another RM40 for repairs.
Fuck.

I am now officially broke.
Makan Maggi cup la minggu ni..

Things MUST turn up.
I've hit rock bottom.
I still cant believe I had a breakdown (In public! Gahh!!).
I predict that if I don't slow down within the next 2 weeks, I'll go crazy.
Heh.

Monday, July 26, 2010

I love u guys, Really.

I made a boo-boo.
No.
I HUGE boo-boo.
I cant believe I fucking missed Meow's and Am's birthday bash!!!
I totally spaced out during today's moot practise (which was my fault- Stupid Intellectual property! I will never take up that subject!! Ever!!!) and therefore, by the end of the day, all I could think about was my nice comfy bed.
Only when I'm home and just about to get ready for bed did I see the pretty pictures of the bash all over FB.
(T.T)

SO freakin' cute! I want one..

I'm so sorry guys.. Especially the birthday girls; (from left; Am and Meow.)

Please do forgive me..
I really did want to tag along.
I wonder why nobody called me?
Ugh, no matter, twas totally my own fault :/
Sob..Sob..

Hope you guys had a bangin' time!
Lets have a get together again soon!
Peace!

Haha.

And as expected, moots did NOT last for only half a day.
And with only two weeks left from LawAsia, we've just managed to sort out the claimant's points.
So no movies for me any time soon.
And next week's weekend shall be booked for mooting too.
Sheesh.
I need to get a life.

Saturday, July 24, 2010

Jinxed

I think I'm being punished.
EVERY TIME I get a break from mooting, I fall sick :/
The ONE day off from Maritime training, I had a fever.
The ONE day I flake from training, I barfed all over the bathroom floor.
(I'm guessing that's karma. So, no more flaking for me. Cis.)
And the one day I had the day off (with permission, I might add!) I had a bangin' headache.
Great.

Does this mean that I have to moot to keep myself from getting sick??
OH NO!!!
I'm gonna grad as a super geek.
I just know it! (T.T)

I desperately want to go out and just have fun, but I have SO much to do.
Research, assignments and scripts. All undone.
Oh, not to mention all my pending social obligations..
Sigh.
Kill me now.

Tomorrow's Sunday. And it's reserved for mooting.
Though it might be a lil naive, I'm hoping it'll only last half a day.
I wanna watch 'Inception' SO badly.
Oh wait.. That might also have to wait.
BEL presentation still not done.
Shit.

News from Sydney

MARA's Law school has managed to keep up their winning streak in IMLAM (International Maritime Law arbitration Moots)!
Though we won by a VERY small margin.. But hey, a win is a win right??

Wins against;
1. Melbourne Uni (Respondent's win)
2. South Hampton Uni (Respondent's win)
3. Universitas Padjajaran (Claimant's win)

Next battle, Hong Kong Uni. (Claimant)*Gulp!*

Am hoping that we can make it to the next round! *crosses fingers*
It'll be a nice trade up from all the losses we had suffered throughout the years..
Plus, letting down our trainers isn't really an option.

We also had a little sight seeing projects while we're in Sydney :)
Though the weather is too bloody cold, we still managed to go on an all day trip outdoors~
The place is beautiful!
Shall be back with the pics!
p/s: I miss the boyfriend.
New goal before I graduate; Travel with him.
Tee-hee.

Sunday, June 6, 2010

The spirit burns within!

I cant believe I overslept today!
(Arrived at training late- Again. Sheesh.)
I swear that I've set my alarm.
(The scary thing is I cant even remember hitting the off/snooze button. Yikes!)
(=.=)"

I'm almost afraid of going to the competition if this is how I function..
I can just Imagine Zharif or Daniel having to be the senior council just because I can't get my lazy ass up and running.
Oh no..

On a brighter note; my submissions are getting better!
(well, at least I THINK it's getting better.. Heh.)
It's all minor improvements.. But hey, that's better then nothing right?
(T.T)
Let's see how it goes tomorrow.. *Crosses fingers*

Oh, have a listen to this week's song-in-my-head! *Haha*
It gets really annoying when I find myself humming to this while I'm actually mooting!
(I hope Sir is NOT reading this!)

The Fray and Esthero rocks!

Because I woke up so late, I couldn't attend I love Bazaar :(
But twas my fault.
And when it came down to going shopping or mooting, (at the risk of sounding like a total nerd) I choose mooting.
Hands down.
There will be other shopping events, but this is the only chance I have to prove that I have what it takes to represent the uni for Jessup.. despite being the kiddie of the bunch...
