Nailed it!

In between preparations for Jessup and coping without a maid at home, I (somehow) managed to start a business.
Adoih.
This is not multi-tasking, this is craziness.

The funny part is, I'm selling nail polish.
Which is pretty much the last thing I'd expect myself to sell.
(though I absolutely adore nail polishes.)
It's a small project.
And it's seasonal (due to the shipping schedules).
I don't even have an official page for it.
No special contact number or E-mail.
So it's a very personal service.
My personal reputation is on the line.

I better not screw up.
*Gulp!*

Am hoping like mad that I'll manage to pull it off without actually LOSING money.
I think I'm on the road of EPIC failure because I only managed to narrow it down to 15 bottles for myself.
Meh.
The only one winning here in my supplier!
*Flying kick muka sendiri*
(I've been flying kicking myself way to frequently lately. This is bad!)

Oh.
Btw, If any of you readers are interested, do contact me :)
(Drop me a msg on the chatbox or e-mail me at arinalum@gmail.com)
O.P.I goes for RM 32 & China Glaze goes for RM25.
But I hope you personally know me coz I don't prefer post services.
(As I said, this is just a pet project)
Or if not, then you could to opt for COD around Shah Alam & Subang.
(More free advertising! Haha. *Muka tebal*)

Kiddie day

20th Nov was Universal Children's day and (if I'm not mistaken) yesterday we celebrated The Rights of the Children.

So in support, some of my friends have changed our profile pics to our fav cartoon characters that we've grown up with.
It was kinda cute seeing how even these lil things can shape us.

UNICEF also came up with a new interesting campaign to spread awareness;
"Cartoons for children's Rights"
UNICEF now works with animation studios and broadcasters for this campaign to create and telecast a 30 second vid to educate the public on children's rights.

Kudos to them.
At least they're trying hard.
I think it's much needed.
Since only this week did I hear somebody remark that we shouldn't uphold children's rights because they're such brats.

*Rolls eyes*
Sheesh, look at the bigger picture la macha..
We're not talking about well off kids with a family and good homes.
We're talking about those who are abused and forced into begging, hard labour, prostitution etc.
Just because you don't see it, doesn't mean that it's not a problem.

Oh, and I choose Cookie Monster as my character :)
Strictly speaking, he's not a cartoon character but I loved him as a kid!
But I found this instead when I googled him;

LOL!
Such a mood booster!
I especially love the one where he's wearing a straight-jacket in cookie rehab.
And I as much as I loved him as a kid, I'm sure he's a real scary monster for cookies everywhere.
Heh.

When I saw this pic, I remembered that I actually have a t-shirt exactly like this one!
The problem is.. Where the hell did I put it???
(O.o)"

Hate being MIA

There's something wrong with the internet at home.
Called TM.
They fixed it the next day.
But the monkey (the lil brother) did SOMETHING- I have no idea what..
And the line is down- Again.
Fuck.

So no internet for me.
Unless I drag my ass to the Uni.
Like I'm doing now.
*Sigh*
Which also means that I'll have to study.

Sometimes moots are just a pain the ass.
(Albeit an addicting pain the ass.)
Heh.

Have some contacts in the US who wants to bring home O.P.I and China Glaze nail polishes.
The O.P.I's goes as low as RM 32 per bottle (It retails at RM 50 in M'sia. Ceh!).
And China Glaze goes as low as RM 23 per bottle (It's not even in stores in M'sia. But they got rave reviews from the international community).
I bought a ton for myself.
It's such a deal.
Heh.

All the pretty coulours I'll have!

So much for trying to save up..
*flying kick muka sendiri*
I wonder if I should post this up for my friends as well..
Thoughts?

The normal things

The visit to NUS was.. umm.. interesting.
People say that I'll be blown away by how hi-tech and globalized they were.
In a sense, I was.

Pretty nice.
This is the business faculty and they have lil corners like this where students can just hang out or do their work.
I like the cute mini sofas!
Plus, the whole place is air conditioned.
But then, so is UITM..

But they win hands down on the student affairs department.
These are not condos, they're in-campus student residence!
*Green with jealousy*
If only Kenanga is like this :'(

But above all else, they have this near their student centre;

I mean like WHAT THE HELL?
That is so cool.
Major brownie points from me.
Nothing can win me over better then food~
They get Subway while the good residents of Kenanga get... nothing.
Not even a minimalist mini market.
*Boo~*

But just before going back to the hotel, I read this on one of the student shout out boards;
"We love bang bros, mofo bros, all bros. Yeah!"

LOL.
Just goes to show that no matter where you go, students will be students.
Perangai same je.
Hah.

Caught Mummy trying to plug in the printer using my i pod wires.
Haha.
She complains that she cant tell all the stupid wires apart.
So now we have a bunch of small bags with post-its on them- especially for all the pesky wires.
Mom is so cute sometimes :)

2. Jalan-jalan di Singapura

As mentioned, S'pore is CROWDED.
But it also makes a great place for me to do what I love best- people watch!

And I have to admit, (though I do not have any pictures) Singaporeans can dress up!
Or issit just because I'm in the city?
Hmmm.. Anyways, it makes me realise that general Malaysians don't put in even nearly the same effort to look good like these people.
I guess this just means that we're just plain lazy to do so coz we all know that Malaysian have killer fashion sense.
Heh.

Oh, and I don't wanna be left out!
I absolutely adore this dual-tone bubble dress from Quirky Brown Cow!
*Grins*

I would've paired this up with my new black leather heels, but my mission was to walk- No sane girl is gonna walk all day in sky high heels in the humid S'pore weather!
So I had to pair it up with the next best thing, my new brown loafers~
At least it matches my LV tote :)

I love dressing up everyday and not looking out of place doing it!
Plus, all-in-all, the whole look didn't even cost me more then RM 100.
1. Dress from Quirky Brown Cow- RM15
2. Belt from Sunway- RM 10
3. Shoes from U.R.S. & inc- S$ 25 (Ard RM60)
total: ++ RM 85
(Of course, excluding my LV tote, Tag Watch & Asprey ring- but all of that can easily be replaced with any other bag/watch/ring and you'll still look slamming!)

I fell in love in LV's store today..

I've always loved edgy boots.
Twas the first thing I saw the whole day that I absolutely LUSTED over.
I WANT IT!
(HINT!!! You know who you are.)
Haha.

But it was S$ 2,000 a pair!
*Sobs*

So I dragged my sorry ass outta there and went to Charles and Keith instead.
BIG mistake!
Because I found these;

But it's S$ 150!
Might as well get the pair back in Malaysia :(
Oh. I'm broke and I'm planing to buy a RM 400 pair of heels..
*Flying kick muka sendiri*

1. The walk from my hotel to Bugis Junction is 10 mins.
I spent 30 mins to get there.
I was just there the other day and yet, I got lost today.
My sense of direction sucks.
(But then, I already knew that. Heh.)

2. I know S'pore is small but this is ridiculous!
It's so crowded here.
And I'm not referring to Bugis Street itself.
The whole area was crawling with shoppers- and it's a weekday!
*Pening*

3. Bugis Street reminds me of Petaling Street.
And similarly, you have to really hunt for the best bargains.
And oh, the fantastic bargains I found :)
Tee-hee~

It's amazing how good the materials are here!
Better then I've ever seen in places like these in M'sia anyways..
And Some of the things here are way cheaper too.

4. The food here is crazy expensive!
One would think that food here would be only slightly more expensive as compared to M'sia since we're neighbouring countries after all..
But I guess the import/export takes a toll on the prices.
kesian.
*Sings NegaraKu*
I LOVE Malaysia~
I love our food!

5. 3 hours in the gym and now planing on a long soak in the tub.
Ahh... Perfect!
I wish everyday is like this..
(PS: my tummy STILL wont go away. sheesh.)

6. Daddy is gonna go berserk when he sees the bills.
Heh.
Oh well.. It is an expensive city after all...

Will be going to National University of Singapore (NUS) tomorrow.
Hmm.. The winners of Maritime.
Maybe I'll Jampi the place so that we'll win next year.
Heh.
kidding.
Or am I??
*Evil grin*

*Shakes head*

1.
I am so used to sleeping late..
Up to the extent that I didn't even sleep a wink before going on the flight to S'pore.
By the time we got to the airport, I couldn't even keep my eyes open.
Oh, did I mention the the flight was at at 6 in the freakin morning??
Sheesh.

2.
I saw Air Asia's plane- or should I say bus with wings- that I was supposed to board.
And I ain't gonna lie, the little thing scared me.
Can it withstand the turbulence?
Can it even get off the land??
*Shivers*
I DO NOT like the idea of crashing.
*Gulp!*
Ergo, no sleep for me on that damned flying bus.

3.
I was so sleepy.
I even slept on the bus on the way to the hotel (=.=)"
Sleeping on a public bus in a foreign country- with all my luggage.
Not very smart.
Heh.
Thank god I didn't miss my stop!

4.
My room @ Marina Pan Pacific is gorgeous.
And the view.. LOVE!

AND the bathroom!!!

I have no idea what my deal is with bathrooms, but it's the most important room in my book!
I want something similar in my own (future) home.
Take note! (You know who you are.. tee-hee.)
Ooh! But the best part- the freakin' hotel is ATTACHED to Marina Bay Mall.
XD

5.
Hence, not even 12 hours since we arrived, I've already spent a BOMB.
6 pairs of shoes in one go.
OMG.
I am one crazy bitch.
And my mom spent just as much.
Adoi.
No DNA tests needed.
I am mummy's daughter.
Meh.

6.
I've gained weight.
Ugh!
Swimming tomorrow then.
I need to slim down so that I can actually fit into my lovely frocks!

Will be going sight seeing tomorrow!
(Codeword for shopping)
Yay!
PS: I miss the boyfriend.

When it's good, it's orgasmic

Exams are over!
Am SO glad :)
Nothing that I absolutely HAVE to do.
Just full hours of doing whatever I want to do.
Heaven!
*Grins*
And to celebrate the end of the pesky exams, we all went out to dinner.
Meow even got back from home just to hang out with us.

I Love you!
(PS: You still owe me food for that promise you broke.)
(PPS: Seriously. I'm waiting.)

And (of course) the rest of the housemates.
They never fail to make me feel right at home :D
Formal intro to this bloggie:
Frm left: Moi, Adik, Anna & Amyra.
(PS: Am going through some major jealousy issues with adik. She has bright red short hair now. I ALWAYS wanted that! Since like, FOREVER. *sobs*)

And though I've been spending most of my time with the boyfriend since the end of the exams, I still miss him.
I guess I'm supposed to be sad that he's back in Mersing.
But the thought that I'll miss him- Even after all our spills, makes me happy.

I don't mean to be all gushy here, but I do love you.
All of you.
And yeah, that includes all your craziness.
Heh.

(PS: Thanks for watching Megamind with me~)
(PPS: In a way... you can dance. Haha.)

Am truly happy.
The happiest I've been in weeks.
I hope this lasts.
*crosses fingers*

This is a picture of my train of thought.

Serabut.

I do not understand you.
At all.

And though I try to..
I can't seem to comprehend.
Even when I give up (which I RARELY do), I still don't get anywhere.

One moment I'm happy.
On cloud nine.
Over the moon.
And all of that shit.
Then it all comes crashing down.

This cannot be healthy.

I love how pictures can capture how I feel..

No matter which path I choose, it always seems to go back to you.
Even when you're the person I'm pissed at- it will still lead me right back to you.
Always.

Maybe a part of me wants to go right back to you.
Simply because I like you.
I adore you.
I love you.
Maybe that makes all the pain and anger worth it..

But don't think that I don't realize the stark differences between us.
Because I see it all too clearly.

I want to do this- You don't like it.
You want to do that- I don't like it.

You won't bend, and I won't break.
Now where will all this leave us?

I will no longer take things for granted.
For too long I've shrugged and said relationships are easy.

I am duly eating my words...

What's yours and what's mine.

It wasn't because I had to get a hold of you via your friends.
It wasn't because you fell asleep instead of getting ready.
It wasn't because I've already bought the movie tickets.
It wasn't because I've already reserved a place for us to eat.
It wasn't because you've canceled out on me on the very last minute.

It was because you simply said that you didn't want to.
Without explaining why.
Expecting me to just take it as it is.

THAT is why I'm falling apart.

I love you.
But we both know that I'll never let myself be 'one of those women'.
Who'd follow what others order them to do.
Or do things how others want it to be.

I thought you'd love me BECAUSE of that.
To know that I'll at least try to stand strong against the currents and not follow it.

But if you'd rather have 'one of those women', go back to your last girl.
Because I'd never be what you want.
I'd rather take care of myself.

Fuck the exams!
Land law blows.
Am praying to god that I wont ever have to take that paper again!

Exam week.
(When will this end???)

Got stung by a bee.
Still itches like hell.
Bee dead for stinging me.

Equity and Trust paper was a total bust.
stomachache during exam.
Shit. Literally.
Worse timing ever.
(And am pissed coz the guy sitting next to me SLEPT for the first 20mins of the exam)

Land paper in approximately 8 hours.
Have not memorized all the cases nor sections.
Fuck it.
Am still planning to sleep soon.
Enough rest = enough energy to bullshit intelligently.

Need some good R&R.
After this paper, will put aside at least 3 hours for game play :)

Oh, to be royal~

Halloween is kicking in and all things weird are starting to appeal to me.
And it's effecting my fashion sense too!
Heh.

True to the festive spirit, Soak Republic came up with the perfect chic Halloween accessory- The Facinators!

Just in case you don't know what they are, here's Cheryl Cole rocking one out;

I absolutely adore the over-the-top dramatic effect it has on a look!
But it'll look super weird if I started walking around in one without an event fit for it..
Oh, I wish I could go get one and wear them at this year's Halloween parties.
(Damn you final exams!)

The ones from Soak Republic are delish!

I WANT.
*Sobs*

Oh well, MAYBE next year I'll get a chance to put one on..
Surely I'll be able to wear one on my big day;

But that is not anywhere in the near future, so friends of mine, please start getting married!
Heh.
Then maybe I can wear one as a bridesmaid :D

This is too cute!
I'm so in!
Tee-hee..

I have to start studying Land law.
This never ends does it??

1

Our lovely Malaysia is either hot, Hot, HOT or wet, Wet, WET.
So for those sunny days, what better way to channel in those rays but with floral dresses??
Carrie Looks like a bronze goddess in this!

A maxi floral dress on a Sunday~
Sounds perfect right?
Especially if you're out hanging out with friends, walking the streets of KL..
*Grins*

But simple maxi dresses like the one I'm wearing may retail up to RM 120 :/
Now, we don't want that do we?
So here's where you can get the same look as Carrie's for less!

I cant even remember how much I got all my goodies for..
Hence, the estimation.
But no worries, to show you guys true value for money, I'd bump up the estimated price rather them bump it down :)

Steals:
1) Tan headband from "Cotton On AU"- RM 6
2) Floral clay studs from "Summit Market"- RM 10 for 3.
3) Floral Dress from "Pieces of Key"- RM 40
4) F21 inspired Portrait Ring from "Sungei Wang"- RM 10
5) Berry Bracelet from Uzbekistan- RM 10
6) Skinny belt from "seed" (Vintage)- RM 35
7) Yellow platforms from "Delicious" bought at "I Love Bazaar"- RM 35

Total: RM140
(Hey, that's not that bad! Plus you can always mix and match!)

TIP!
I used the official prices on blogshops and retail outlets.
If you know how, you can always get these itmes (or something similar to it) for much MUCH less.
*wink2*

Splurges:
1) Louis Vuitton tote bag.

Oh.. I do have splurges.. But I use them over and over again :)
(Nak sedapkan hati! Heh.)

For a better look at the accessories;

And a special thanks to the bestie for dragging me out that day.
Oh. And also for being the camera girl :)
Love you!

Am FINALLY done with equity and trusts!
And I'm rewarding myself with a good pillow talk with the bestie!

Paramore 2010

Am supposed to study.
So I'm making this as short as possible.

1) Won tickets. Two actually.
From the Hitz.FM cruisers.
Had to make a total fool out of myself by attempting to impersonate Hayley Williams but twas worth it.
RM 250 worth of Paramore goodies for free :)

2) It's study week and I'm off to a concert.
Heh.
We (finally) found a place to sit.
Unfortunately, we sat in front of a couple of boys who were HUGE fans of Paramore.
They stood from the moment the band's car rolled in.
The band is on stage, they are still standing.
The first song goes on.. and ends.. They're STILL standing!
And we were seated BEHIND them.
So my view thus far was=

Sial je.
But then, if they wanna stand, it's their prerogative.
We just switched seats.

3) The show was great.
Really.
They had such stage presence!
Two thumbs up for that.

4)But! The sound system sucked.
Big time.
They should've fired the guy who set it up.
The instruments totally drowned out Hayley's voice.
Cis.

5) Thank god for the acoustic sessions.
That made up for the bad sound system :/

6) They do know how to go out with a bang!
Twas festive to say the least.
LOVE.
The concert was worth my night of studying. (Oh, statement yakin!)

7) The quote of the night;
"We stole this couch. And it was awesome."
It was so nice to be in a playful mood for a change!

8) I just realised how awesome my camera phone is!
I took ALL of these pics from the 3rd floor. AND we sat at the back!
(Yes, I got the cheapest seats. But hey, better then nothing kan?)
The pics actually turned out clear! *Grins*

Scraped somebody's car.
I now have to pay for the repairs.
Damn, there goes my cash~

On the bright side, I got my baby Honda fixed too.
Now she looks so pretty!
Please no more accidents!!!

PS: when is Coldplay coming??!
I wanna see them!
